Dearest Melinda:
I cannot begin to tell you how moved and complemented I felt from both reading and receiving your question. Thank you so much for posting it. The answer to it is multi-pronged but I will do my best to answer it in a way that hopefully you will feel is as complete as the others are.
I have been a student of metaphysics since 1985. I have seen trends and key terms come and go. I have taken courses and studied literally hundreds and hundreds of books on spirituality, self-empowerment, and psychology, but that’s not where the answers come from.
The answers come from first trying to get a clear sense of where the person is coming from and then combine that with what I believe is truth to form a response.
I read every posting to the page and say to myself “okay, what does this mean to me, and how can I best help to bring peace and a sense of freedom to h/she who asked the question”.
I just do the best I can.
The Buddha once said, “ Just as all the great oceans have but one taste, the taste of salt, so too do all great spiritual doctrines have one taste, and that is the taste of freedom”.
Christ, Buddha, Mohammed, Gandhi, Mosses, The Lama, all had (and one still does have) the ability to communicate to all beings regardless of their level of understanding. My goal is to be able to achieve this ability too.
Thank you so much for your respect, Melinda. It was wonderful to connect with you in this way.
Take care
Joseph
