Jerry, finding the “Intangible Groove” that you are looking for does not come from a conscious knowing, but from a knowing of consciousness. What I mean is, what you are looking for must occur from within, first, in order to be realised on the outer. It is from the heart, not the head.
Your entry showed that you have remarkable cognitive skills, Jerry, and can probably understand most things that make people scratch their heads for an eternity. But finding the intangible groove means letting go.
As knowledgeable as you are, seek out any master from any of the doctrines that you are schooled in or wish to learn. When you find her, go to her and ask “in order to get what I want, what must I do”? I promise you that any one who is worth their weight in salt will respond with something like “first learn all that you can until you can’t take it anymore. Then and only then will you be ready. But once you are ready, you must (and there are NO exceptions to this) abandon all that you know and only then will you find what you are looking for”.

PS: I don’t know of any support groups in the Vancouver area to speak of. Try volunteering at a hospital for those with a terminal illness like the Dr. Peter Centre.
