My guess is that the Dr. Peter Centre would have several different positions available for a person who wanted to help out in some way. Working with the terminally ill could even include kitchen work where you may not have direct contact with people living there but still gain from the experience of serving them.
I’m also aware that there is usually a fair size column in the back of the Georgia Straight that lists places that are also looking for volunteers. If working at the Dr. Peter Centre 604.608.1874 doesn’t feel right for you, I’m sure you will be able to find some other place in the listing that will.
